BraunAbility Launches Accessible SUV
BraunAbility’s new MXV has all of the style and swagger you’d expect from
your SUV, but it also boasts full wheelchair accessibility so everyone can
ride. (Boat and beautiful campground, however, are not included.)
No longer is wheelchair accessibility just for vans and
minivans. BraunAbility’s new MXV is based on the popular Ford
Explorer, but also includes the features that accessibility buyers
want, including a power door, “kneeling ability” that lowers the
vehicle for easier boarding, and a ramp with a reduced incline.
Redesigned, removable front seats make it possible for the
wheelchair user to drive — or to ride as a passenger in the front
or center. Entry is easy thanks to a 28.5" door opening width and
55" door opening height. Inside, the MXV has a 59" height for
easy maneuvering for all passengers.
Options include a tow package and an XLT deluxe trim package.
But both the standard and the XLT trim levels have an 800-lb.
weight capacity. Go to braunability.com for more details.
