Are you doing remarkable things while wearing your prosthetic? You still have time to answer Ottobock’s photo challenge – and perhaps inspire all those who will see the pictures.
To commemorate its C-Leg’s 15th anniversary in the United States, Ottobock is holding an ongoing photo contest, with monthly winners and a year-end grand prize winner.
The August 2014 photo winner is Hilbert Potter, who lost his leg in 1991 while serving in the U.S. Army in Iraq.
Potter became a physical therapist who works with soldiers in the Warrior Transition Unit, Fort Knox, Ky. In his spare time, he’s a runner – he’s completed the Kentucky Derby Festival miniMarathon twice – and an active golf fan who recently volunteered at the Professional Golfers Association of America (PGA) Championship in Louisville, Ky. Potter’s duties as an event volunteer required him to walk the entire 18-hole course every day… and set up this photo opportunity, which became an award-winning image.
Ottobock is challenging “users of the C-Leg or another prosthetic product to submit photos or videos showing how it has changed their lives.” Are you up to the challenge? Then go to clegheroes.com for all the details.
