Todd Anderson Field Is Official
Todd Anderson Field officially opened Aug. 9. The field, funded by the Pepsi Refresh Project, will serve as a home for the Courage Center’s Rolling Twins and Junior Rolling Twins wheelchair softball teams. Todd Anderson, the field's namesake, was a former Ottobock employee who passed 2 years ago. Anderson was inspired to become a certified prosthetist after a motorcycle accident that resulted in a below-the-knee amputation. He worked hard to make a name for himself as an expert, innovator and author in the field. Anderson’s influence was much wider than the prosthetics field; he also had an impact on adaptive sports.
The photos below were taken at the dedication. The first is of Brad Ruhl, president and CEO of Ottobock US HealthCare, speaking about Todd during the dedication ceremony. The rest are scenes for the inaugural game.
