Although Spencer West has no legs, he plans to climb Mount Kilimanjaro this summer to raise money for Free the Children.

Using his wheelchair, his hands and the help of two friends who will also make the eight-day journey on June 12, West is determined to reach the summit and raise $750,000 for the children’s charity that provides clean water, health care and schools to thousands in Kenya.

West is calling on supporters to donate $10 toward his mission or purchase a Redefine Your Possible t-shirt. Proceeds from the sale of the t-shirt will support the climb.

"We have the capacity to redefine the limits of our own potential," said West. "That's why, with my new Redefine Possible mission, I'm using my story and challenges to inspire others to overcome obstacles and get involved in whatever they are passionate about. Just like my parents saw the potential in me, I see the potential in all of us."

West, who recently published a memoir “Standing Tall: My Journey,” is a motivational speaker.
