Darrell Gwynn Foundation Donates Wheelchairs to Horses for the Handicapped
Horses for the Handicapped has added two manual wheelchairs to its fleet thanks to a donation from the Darrell Gwynn Foundation.
The wheelchairs will assist the organization in providing therapeutic and equine-assisted activities for people with disabilities.
The wheelchairs are equipped with larger tires to navigate the dirt terrain and mud in the stables and riding tracks at Horses for the Handicapped.
“We applaud Horses for the Handicap’s efforts to improve the quality of life for individuals living with paralysis, and we are proud to help their efforts by donating these wheelchairs,” said Dr. Lisa Gwynn, executive director of the Darrell Gwynn Foundation.
