BIAA Unveils New Brain Injury Awareness Month Campaign
The Brain Injury Association of America has launched a multiyear campaign for Brain Injury Awareness Month beginning March 2012.
The theme is “Brain Injury: Anytime, Anywhere, Anyone.” The supporting message is “Brain Injuries do not discriminate.”
Materials are available to support the new theme, including a flyer that provides statistics on brain injury, including
- 1.7 million people, including 475,000 children, sustain a traumatic brain injury in the United States each year
- 3.1 million individuals live with lifelong disability as a result of traumatic brain injury.
