Consumers looking for information on mobility equipment or accessible vehicles now have one more way to find it: by using their smartphones.
The Ability Center, with six locations in the southwestern United States, specializes in adaptive automotive technology - from minivan and van conversions to driving controls - as well as manual wheelchairs and consumer and complex rehab power chairs. Now consumers can download a free app for their Android phone or iPhone to literally put Ability Center information in the palms of their hands.
The new app includes Ability Center phone numbers; information about individual locations, such as addresses and hours of operation; and links to check out Ability Center products, such as accessible vans and a "Hot List" inventory with pricing.
And consumers can use this app to make rental requests, book service appointments or even get Ability Center emergency assistance 24 hours a day. Corporate Sales Manager Chad Blake says Ability Center is rolling out the app with existing customers and plans to back up the program via other marketing efforts.
The apps can be accessed by going to abilitycenter.com.
Ability Center has offices in Arizona (Phoenix and Tucson), California (Stanton, Sacramento and San Diego) and Nevada (Las Vegas).
