Paralympics power-lifting star Anderson "Andy" Wise will make an appearance at this year’s Spina Bifida Association of Greater New England's (SBAGNE) 3rd annual Walk-N-Roll event June 16 in Canton, Mass.

Wise participated in the 2010 IPC Power-lifting World Championships as well as the 2008 Paralympics Games in Beijing, China, as part of the U.S. team. Wise, who was born with spina bifida and uses a wheelchair, is now a personal trainer and is actively involved in raising support for spina bifida.

"The Walk-n-Roll for SBAGNE event helps to generate attention and support for those living with this disabling birth defect," said Wise. "I am proud to support research and services for spina bifida patients in the greater New England area."

The Walk-N-Roll event is a family-friendly walk to raise awareness about spina bifida. All proceeds are used for programs and services for people with spina bifida.
